From 1 October 2022 the rules have changed. Video right to work checks are no longer compliant. Instead checks should be carried out face to face, or using a government-certified digital solution. Failure to act could result in your business receiving a fine of up to £20,000.

Covid-adjusted digital checks, such as verifying a candidate’s ID remotely using video checks online, are no longer valid.
